THE STORY BEHIND THE MØØD

MØØD COLLECTION wasn't born in a boardroom. It was born in the midst of uncertainty, frustration, and the desire for change.

Last year, after being made redundant from a corporate career that often felt like it was blocking my creative light, I found myself in a space I didn't recognize. Six months of unemployment followed — a season that felt heavy, frustrating, and at times, discouraging. I realized then how easy it is to let a job title define your worth, and how quickly you can feel "lost" when that title is taken away.

During that time, I was building this idea while relying on benefits, trying to make something out of nothing. It wasn't glamorous. It was uncomfortable, uncertain, and at times, humbling — but it was real.

I've always had an entrepreneurial spirit — that fire to build something of my own has always been there — but in the middle of that dark season, the "creative juices" felt frozen. I knew I didn't want to go back to the corporate cycle where someone else held the keys to my identity. I knew I needed to build my own lane.

The Moment It Clicked

I've always lived in hoodies and jumpers. They are my uniform, my comfort, and my shield. But I was tired of the trade-off: either pay £80 for quality that lasted, or settle for something cheap that bubbled and lost its shape after two washes.

I wanted something properly made. Something heavyweight that felt like a hug but looked like luxury. Something that actually felt good on the skin and held its structure over time.

One day, I made a simple jumper that said "Busy Adulting." I wore it on a TikTok Live, just for me. The response was instant. People weren't just asking where to buy it; they were connecting with the feeling behind the words.

More Than Just Clothing

That's when I realized that we don't just wear clothes; we wear our seasons. Sometimes you are Grounded. Sometimes you are Mentally Offline. Sometimes, you are just trying to be Present Enough.

I also realized how rare it is to find pieces that say exactly what you're feeling without you having to explain it.

I spent months obsessing over samples, rejecting dozens until I found the perfect structure and softness — pieces that don't bobble, don't lose shape, and actually last. I renamed the colors to match the atmosphere — Midnight, After Hours, DND, Cloud Nine — because every detail matters when you're building a MØØD.

The Mission

MØØD COLLECTION is for the creators, the dreamers, and the "Busy Adults" who are tired of shrinking to fit into spaces that weren't made for them.

At the end of January, I was given an opportunity to step into a new role that allowed me to work from home. It wasn't a high-paying role, but it gave me something I needed at the time — stability. It helped me support myself, and more importantly, it helped me fund the beginning of this collection and bring this vision to life.

I also couldn't have done any of this without the support of my husband, who has been my number one supporter from the very beginning. He constantly reminded me that my circumstances do not define who I am, especially during the moments where things didn't seem to be going my way.

Behind the brand

Coming from a corporate background, I know what it's like to have your creativity blocked. This brand is my way of unblocking mine — and helping you express yours without saying a word.
